A historic 300 square meters house with mature trees and a garden on a large (3000 square meters) plot of land.
The house, typical of the Pontine Region, was built in the 30’s during the period of remediation. Today, it has been completely renovated maintaining its original structure and has been divided into two units.
The two houses are each 150 square meters. Each unit consists of two separate floors with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large living room, kitchen and terraces. Outside there is a large garden with pines, cypresses and fruit trees. The garden contains an original wood oven built in 1930 where you can cook pizza and more. There are more than three hectares of cultivated land to explore.
A car is a necessity as the house is relatively isolated. Public transportation is not so easily available.
Coming from the Fiumicino airport: The easiest way to get to our house is the Pontina State Road (SS148). Turn Left at km 100 and continue for about 6 km.
Coming from the Ciampino airport: Take the highway for Naples. Then take the highway exit at Frosinone Frosinone-Terracina (SS156) and follow the signs to the Appia towards the city of Latina. Leave the highway and turn left in the direction to Hermada village.
Rome is 100 km away. The train is the fastest way to get there if you want to spend a day in the capital. The train to Rome takes about 50 minutes and leaves from the Priverno-Fossanova station every hour.
The sea is about a 10 minutes drive from the house. Terracina is the nearest beach but perhaps the most beautiful is Sabaudia which is next to the National Park of Circeo. If you prefer a rocky coastline just go to San Felice Circeo. A little to the south there are the beaches of Sperlonga and Fondi. The Pontine Islands can be reached from Terracina by ferry daily by two companies (Mazzella tel.0773.723406 – and Carloforte Snap 0773.790055)
Hermada Village: is one of the villages of the new foundation of the Fascist period. Of particular interest is the church of St. Anthony,
characterized by a rectangular facade inspired by medieval architecture. The center of Borgo Hermada is only 2km from the house.
There are three supermarkets, two banks, a pharmacy, a great store for fresh bread and pastries (Oven Moro), bars, hairdressers and all the shopping necessities.
